Outbound Material Handler

Job Summary

The Outbound Material Handler is responsible for ensuring orders are picked, consolidated, packed, and shipped efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently, using handheld scanning devices and ERP system, completed on foot or using forklift equipment
• Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processing
• Pack products accurately and securely using internal SPS system, focusing on providing an excellent customer experience
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards
• Maintain performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy, and quality of work
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to leadership
• Work closely with team members and leadership to meet departmental goals
• Absorb into other positions and undertake additional duties as necessary to support overall operation

Physical Requirements

• Stand and/or walk up to 12 hours per day
• Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights up to 75 lbs
• Regularly bend, squat, crawl, climb, and reach

Experience

One year or more of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required.

Education

This role does not require a degree. Relevant skills and experience are valued above all else.
