Outbound Material Handler

Job Summary

The Outbound Material Handler is responsible for ensuring that all orders are picked, consolidated, packed, and shipped in a timely and accurate manner. This position requires the use of our internal warehouse systems and various warehouse equipment, which may include Powered Industrial Trucks.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently, using our handheld scanning devices and ERP system, completed on foot or using forklift equipment
• Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processing
• Pack products accurately and securely using our internal SPS system, focusing on providing an excellent customer experience
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership
• Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
• Abide by all company and warehouse policies
• Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year+ of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required
• Education: This role does not require a degree. We value relevant skills and experience and alignment with our core values above all else.
• Desired Traits & Skills: Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, etc.; strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment; ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations
