Outboard Motor (OBM) Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are hiring factory-authorized Outboard Motor (OBM) Maintenance Technicians to support the Maritime Division’s LCPO. You will be tasked with the complete breakdown and depot-level repair of highly specialized tactical maritime craft and engines.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete breakdown and repair of approximately 550 small outboard motors (15Hp to 300Hp).
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair craft IAW applicable manufacturer tech manuals.
- Repair (18) 8-meter and 11-meter safety support craft, 130 Combat Rubber Raiding Crafts (CRRCs), and all accessories (including aluminum welding).
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair boat trailers, including bearing removal and replacement.
- Conduct advanced electrical wiring repairs of small craft to include radar installation.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of Outboard Motor Maintenance and Overhaul experience.
- Must be a BRP and Wing Inflatables factory-authorized technician and repair specialist capable of conducting depot-level repair.
- Must hold a valid state driver's license and an active SECRET security clearance.
