Responsibilities
- Prepare and interpret engineering plans, drawings, and reports
- Design loop loss for load and repeater electronics
- Plan and design field-mounted switch serving areas
- Perform pole, conduit, and buried facility design measurements
- Ensure compliance with company and industry standards
- Conduct economic feasibility studies
- Develop and track job budgets
- Perform periodic job inspections to maintain quality control
- Collect field data
- Prepare and organize permit packages for submission to appropriate entities
- Maintain complex files and records
- Process departmental documents
- Post accounting and property records
- Type correspondence and reports from rough drafts
- Afford assistance engineers with technical tasks and other requests
Qualifications
- Ability to identify existing voice/data plant, electric, and other utilities on site plans and in the field
- Skilled in indicating existing voice/data plant locations, relocating facilities, and obtaining right-of-ways and easements where required
- Capable of engineering routine and complex COE/OSP work orders, including intricate projects such as road moves
- Expert understanding of COE/OSP principles, work order procedures, voice/data industry standards, PC applications, and record or computer-aided drafting systems
- Experience and understanding of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) for engineering requirements
Pay
Pay Range - $30.00-$33.00 hourly/DOE
At Pearce, we are committed to fair and transparent pay practices. This position is non-exempt, and the base pay range is based on experience, skills, certifications, and location. Employees in this role are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. In addition to hourly wages, employees may also be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, per diem or other applicable compensation.
