Orthopedic Surgeon - Locum Coverage

About the role

Orthopedic Surgeon providing inpatient and outpatient care at a Level 4 trauma center with 24-hour call coverage. The position offers a full spectrum of orthopedic services in a modern facility equipped for diverse surgical procedures, serving adult patients with an emphasis on surgical expertise and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Perform core orthopedic surgeries such as joint replacements and fracture repairs
• Manage adult patients in clinic and emergency settings
• Provide inpatient and emergency consultations
• Conduct clinic appointments during the day
• Provide surgical call coverage overnight (1-3 calls per 24 hours)
• Manage a moderate caseload in a dynamic trauma center environment
• Handle pediatric orthopedic cases if applicable

Requirements

• Board certification is negotiable
• Experience in orthopedic surgical procedures
