PIH Health is a nonprofit regional healthcare network serving approximately 3 million residents in Los Angeles County, Orange County, and San Gabriel Valley. We are expanding our Orthopedic Surgery service line into Downey, CA, and are seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon to join our dedicated team.
About the role
The successful candidate will be a key part of the expansion of our Orthopedic Surgery program in Downey. They will collaborate with an exceptional team of experienced Orthopedic Surgeons, Physician Assistants, and clinical staff across our three clinics. They will help meet the growing patient demand in a well-established and supportive network.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with an exceptional team of experienced Orthopedic Surgeons, Physician Assistants, and clinical staff across our three clinics.
- Help meet the growing patient demand in a well-established and supportive network.
- Enjoy access to state-of-the-art surgical facilities, advanced imaging, and a robust referral base.
- Contribute to clinical program development and community outreach.
- Take general Ortho call with a 1 in 6 rotation.
Requirements
- Current California Medical license
- Graduate from an accredited Medical School
- Graduate from an accredited Orthopedic Surgery program
- Evidence of continuing education and self-development to support license requirements
- Board Certified or Eligible from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery
Skills
- Demonstrated expertise in Orthopedic Surgery diagnoses: assessment, intervention, and patient care management.
- Knowledgeable regarding the Orthopedic Surgeon scope of practice.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in upper extremity injury management including carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, wrist pain, fractures, arthritis, etc., and management and treatment of such injuries.
- Experience in the interpretation of radiological exams including x-ray, MRI, CT, etc.
- Must be able to take general Ortho call with a 1 in 6 rotation.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Independent performer.
