Orthopedic Surgeon
About the role
The Orthopedic Surgeon will diagnose and treat a wide array of musculoskeletal conditions, ranging from scoliosis and fractures to complex damage involving tendons, muscles, and ligaments. Expertise in performing surgical procedures such as repairing, salvaging, or replacing bones and joints, and reconnecting nerves is required. Comprehensive patient management, from initial consultation and treatment planning to extensive aftercare and interdisciplinary collaboration, is emphasized.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a wide array of musculoskeletal conditions
- Perform surgical procedures such as repairing broken bones, reattaching tendons and ligaments, or executing joint and hip replacements
- Consult with patients and conduct thorough examinations to diagnose bone, joint, ligament, or other musculoskeletal problems
- Collaborate with specialists, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care
- Guide patients through treatment options and ensure thorough aftercare
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification or board eligible in Surgery from the American Board of Surgery
- Oregon medical license and DEA certificate
- Specialty training at an ACGME accredited facility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

- Pay Range: $541,757 - $697,216 /year
