Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with conditions involving bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves.
- Perform surgical procedures including fracture repair, joint replacement, arthroscopy, sports injury repair, and other orthopedic surgeries as indicated.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring patient safety and recovery.
- Collaborate with other physicians, physical therapists, and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and rehabilitation.
- Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory results relevant to orthopedic conditions.
- Participate in hospital rounds, outpatient clinics, and on-call coverage as assigned.
- Maintain accurate, timely medical records and documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to quality improvement, peer review, and clinical research initiatives when applicable.
- Educate patients and families on orthopedic conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Adhere to all institutional policies, ethical guidelines, and professional standards of care.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited orthopedic surgery residency program.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
- Current DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certification.
- Excellent clinical judgment, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities.
