About the role
Support clinical operations and patient care as a Medical Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for exams by recording vital signs, medical and social history, and chief complaints.
- Assist providers during examinations.
- Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, specimen collection, vaccine administration, and diagnostic tests (e.g., EKG, pulmonary function).
- Screen and direct patient calls, communicate test results and prescriptions under supervision.
- Conduct regulatory testing and maintain clinical supplies.
- Perform front desk duties including patient registration, billing, and scheduling.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current Medical Assistant certification/registration.
- BLS certification.
- 0–2 years of experience preferred.
Skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform diagnostic and clerical tasks within scope of certification.
- Attention to detail and patient-focused approach.
