Orthopedic Cast Technician

About the role

The Orthopedic Cast Technician supports the clinical activity of the orthopedic provider and orthopedic clinics. The technician coordinates all activities related to casting, maintains the Cast Room and designated orthopedic care areas, rooms patients, and performs routine clinical functions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates work schedule and breaks to meet departmental coverage needs.
• Relieves and provides support to other team members.
• Performs routine clinical functions and documents in patient chart, including but not limited to vital signs, height, weight, pain screening and documentation of chief complaints and current medications.
• Absorb and distribute patient flow in and out of clinic.

Qualifications

• At least three years experience as an Orthopedic Technician.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Good communication skills.
• CPR certification.
• Certification as an Orthopedic Technician.
