ORTHOPAEDIC INJECTION COORDINATOR

About the role

Tri-State Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, a well-respected and busy orthopaedic practice, is seeking an enthusiastic, full-time Orthopaedic Injection Coordinator to join our Billing Department in our North Hills Office (McCandless).

Responsibilities

• Verifying insurance benefit information for prescription coverage
• Obtaining prior authorization for each injection
• Submitting prescriptions to specialty pharmacies for processing
• Coordinating the delivery of the medications to the physician offices
• Scheduling patients for administration of the injection
• Providing customer service support via phone for patients and/or insurance carriers

Requirements

• Excellent customer service and communication skills via telephone
• Ability to work with others in various departments, as well as independently
• Strong computer/typing skills
• Ability to stay organized and multitask with a positive and upbeat attitude
• Ability to maintain practice and patient confidentiality
• Knowledge of insurances and prior authorization is strongly preferred
• Understanding of payer guidelines
