About the role
The IT Technician provides technical support to end-users, maintains town IT systems, and assists with network administration and cybersecurity initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Respond to help-desk tickets and resolve issues in person, by phone, or via remote tools.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and manage software licenses.
- Assist with network monitoring, user account administration, and security patch management.
- Set up and support audio-visual equipment for town meetings and events.
- Document procedures and contribute to IT knowledge base.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
- Minimum two years of experience in desktop support or IT help-desk role.
- Proficiency with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and remote support tools.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and wireless networking.
- Strong customer-service orientation and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Valid Arizona driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs.
