Responsibilities
- Cook up and facilitate new hire orientation for clinical and administrative staff
- Conduct engaging, structured orientation sessions covering:
- Company mission, values, culture and expectations
- Policies, procedures and compliance requirements
- EMS operational standards and protocols
- Safety, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements
- Audit knowledge, skills and abilities of new employees
- Create a positive environment for new hires
- Determine need for remediation or termination of employment based on knowledge, skills and abilities to perform essential job functions
- Teach safe lifting and moving techniques, patient handling, and CEVO
- Instruct monthly annual refresher
- Work outside the normal assigned schedule as needed
- Assist in other areas of the Education Department as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- EMT / Paramedic License in the state in which they are teaching
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher etc.)
- AHA Instructor credentials (BLS) preferred
