Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Supporting the Organizational Development Manager with organizational development (OD) strategies, processes, and assessments.
- Aid HR team members to implement strategic projects/programs and track progress toward goals.
- Administer instruments related to OD/training work such as DiSC, 360 tools, e-learning tools, learning management system, etc.
- Respond to inquiries related to training and professional development programs.
- Engage with a wide range of employees at various levels, regions, and departments of the organization in support of HR priorities, strategic and change initiatives, and OD objectives.
Job Specifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in organizational development, human resources, psychology, business administration or related field.
- 3-5 years work experience in organizational development.
- Relevant experience in a non-profit, military, multicultural and/or global organization preferred.
- Proficient written and oral communication skills, including proficiency as a presenter and facilitator.
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data from training and development programs.
- Experience in projects/programs requiring cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment related to controversial and/or culturally sensitive subjects.
- Ability to handle confidential information with tact and poise.
- Must show initiative, self-motivation, and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Ability to quickly and easily adapt to changing organizational needs.
- Proficiency using computers and electronics equipment. Working knowledge of various software, applications, and programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated expertise in Excel and PowerPoint highly desired.
- Ability to obtain and maintain proper credentials necessary to access USO Center locations and facilities including but not limited to security, credit and/or background screening, SOFA status, valid driver’s license.
- Must be a strong advocate of the USO’s mission.
