Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Organizational Development Manager with organizational development (OD) strategies, processes, and assessments.
  • Aid HR team members to implement strategic projects/programs and track progress toward goals.
  • Administer instruments related to OD/training work such as DiSC, 360 tools, e-learning tools, learning management system, etc.
  • Respond to inquiries related to training and professional development programs.
  • Engage with a wide range of employees at various levels, regions, and departments of the organization in support of HR priorities, strategic and change initiatives, and OD objectives.

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in organizational development, human resources, psychology, business administration or related field.
  • 3-5 years work experience in organizational development.
  • Relevant experience in a non-profit, military, multicultural and/or global organization preferred.
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills, including proficiency as a presenter and facilitator.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data from training and development programs.
  • Experience in projects/programs requiring cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment related to controversial and/or culturally sensitive subjects.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with tact and poise.
  • Must show initiative, self-motivation, and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Ability to quickly and easily adapt to changing organizational needs.
  • Proficiency using computers and electronics equipment. Working knowledge of various software, applications, and programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated expertise in Excel and PowerPoint highly desired.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain proper credentials necessary to access USO Center locations and facilities including but not limited to security, credit and/or background screening, SOFA status, valid driver’s license.
  • Must be a strong advocate of the USO’s mission.
