Job Contributions
- Develop training content and program curricula and coordinate classes and training programs designed to assist management in implementing strategic activities, support employee development, and organizational goals.
- Facilitate training classes and training programs that support employees’ needs to assist management in implementing strategic activities, support employee development, and organizational goals.
- Plan, implement, and improve employee activities that support management’s goals, related to organizational goals, and employee engagement.
- Support the department’s communication strategy through a monthly newsletter, department SharePoint updates, BrightSign Network, and ad hoc emails.
- Confer with and represent the department and the County in meetings with staff from other departments, representatives of governmental, community, business, professional, public agencies, and the public.
- Develop, establish, and maintain report/metric requirements designed to self-audit program effectiveness.
- Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active work team member.
- Obtain the necessary equipment, space, and other resources necessary to conduct training or facilitate meetings.
Working Conditions
- Exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, or negligible amounts constantly, or requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
- Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
- May be subjected to extreme temperatures, wetness/humidity, respiratory hazards, and noise and vibration.
- Machines, Tools, Equipment, Software, and Hardware: Personal computer (laptop/tablet); mobile phone; Dual Monitors; Microsoft Office Suite applications, including extensive work in Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint; Articulate 360; Vyond; Storyline; presentation equipment (A/V).
- Protective Equipment Required: Hard hats, boots, a vest, and safety glasses are required when visiting construction job sites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Instructional Design, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field.
- A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Other Requirements
- Successful candidates must currently possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire.
- We Also Value:
- Three years of experience in instructional design and facilitation for adult learners in an office setting.
- Experience designing and facilitating training on a variety of topics for adult learners in an office setting.
- One year of experience in public relations, internal communications, employee engagement, employee event planning, or a related field.
- Two years of advanced experience using Articulate, Storyline, Vyond, or similar instructional design software.
- Two years of experience training employees in technology and/or artificial intelligence.
- Supervisory experience leading a team.
Pay
$60,000 - $87,500 annually. Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. The position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
