Organizational Communications Specialist/Senior
About the role
The Minneapolis Fed’s Public Affairs division seeks an organizational communications specialist to join a cross-functional team responsible for communicating across the organization. This role will directly impact the mission-driven culture and operational excellence through communication strategies, account management, and more.
Responsibilities
- Developing, implementing, and assessing effective communication and marketing strategies to support organizational and product objectives and goals.
- Advising organization and department or product leaders on message content, strategy, design, and execution.
- Writing, editing, and managing content focused on informing and communicating to the broad employee audience while taking into context individual division internal communication cadences, meetings and messages to ensure optimal strategic effectiveness.
- Develops and coordinates lines of communication within the organization among employees, stakeholders, and executives.
- Develops content, strategies, and programs for new products, processes, or operational plans that will impact functional results, employee achievements, and organizational success.
- Manages editorial integrity and information, content and structure of the organization's intranet site and provides counsel and training to content editors to ensure consistency and support for a multi-channel delivery model.
- Led or supported Bank and System-level projects and workgroups by providing writing and editing support, and subject matter expertise, and implementation of communication and marketing strategies.
- Coordinating and/or facilitating creation and analysis of surveys or other forms of feedback, including the gathering and analysis of customer insights and market intelligence to drive the development of product positioning and messaging that resonates with audiences.
- Investigation of vendor services and management of vendor relationships related to communications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, human resources or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6 years of progressive experience in organizational communication or a related field (8 years required for senior level).
- Experience implementing communication plans for mid-size to large organizations.
- Experience creating communication content.
- Experience in account management.

Pay
The Minneapolis Fed offers a competitive salary range from $90,300 - $135,500, with an expected starting salary range of $100,000 - $159,400. Salary offer is based on qualifications/experience of the candidate, alignment with market data, the needs of the position, our total compensation package, and internal equity.
