Order Selector - Bulk

Pet Food Experts is a leading pet specialty distributor with a rich history dating back over 80 years. We serve over 10,000 pet retail locations nationwide and are currently seeking talented individuals to join our team.

About the role

The Bulk Order Selector fulfills customer orders by selecting, moving, and loading products such as bags of dog/cat food, cases of cans, and litter from warehousing racks and storage areas onto pallets. The position involves:

• Safely and solely bending, lifting, and moving materials up to 50 lbs. repetitively and continuously throughout the shift, both manually and using warehouse equipment
• Building pallets accurately, properly, and efficiently to ensure product integrity upon delivery to customers
• Reading, writing, and understanding English, including identifying numbers
• Complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations
• Maintaining a reliable transportation, flexible schedule, solid attendance, and a positive, professional attitude
• Some positions may require working in the walk-in freezer, which requires the ability to work in temperatures at or below -5 degrees F while wearing required personal protective equipment provided by the company

What We're Looking For

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and high-reach trucks
• Show strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Have high dexterity and skill in operating and controlling warehouse equipment
• Have experience and certification for an electric pallet jack
• Are familiar with Infor WMS

Compensation

Step Progression Pay System with a starting pay of $19.79 per hour with a $1.00 differential. Guaranteed pay increases after 6 months and 1 year of service, with additional increases scheduled based on length of service. Additional earning opportunities include overtime pay and employee discounts on pet food and supplies.
