About the role

The Order Selector_755000-Day Warehouse position at Ben E. Keith Company is part of the Food Division, which is a complete broad line multi-state distributor. This role is responsible for fulfilling customers' orders in a warehouse by operating a forklift or an electric pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Pick product, palletize customer orders, and stage and load orders onto a truck for delivery.
• Project a friendly, professional image at all times.
• Prioritize multiple, competing priorities.
• Ensure company equipment is in safe, working condition; report any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor.
• Operate all company equipment safely and in a manner consistent with company policy.
• Ensure work area is organized, clean, and free of trash.
• Attend meetings as required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to coordinate multiple activities and follow through with commitments.
• Good oral and written communication skills, and participate well in a team environment.
• Must be highly motivated and results-oriented, with a strong attention to detail.
• Able to handle multiple priorities.
• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Able to move products weighing up to 165 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.

• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Valid driver’s license.
