SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Responsible for pulling product using equipment in any assigned area

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate an electric pallet jack or order picker to pull product
• Read the nomenclature and unit of measure of the product requested and confirm with the product in the bin location
• Pack product in the sequence of pick-slips
• Place all boxes on a pallet by stop sequence where needed
• Ensure no damage to product during loading or shipping
• Place labels containing product and customer information and load number on particular boxes
• Pull bulk product and move to the merge location
• Report to work on time and complete duties in a timely manner
• Process information effectively and cooperatively, processing duties in a timely manner
• Cleanliness of area at the end of assigned shift

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Regularly stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands or arms
• Occasionally walk, talk, or hear, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Must be a certified and authorized electrical pallet jack operator
• Must regularly lift 10 to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus required

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Near moving mechanical parts and in outdoor weather conditions
• May occasionally work in wet humid conditions
• Some selectors must work in the refrigerator and freezer
• Selectors working in the freezer are provided with suits, gloves, and face or head gear
• Noise level of the work environment is usually moderate
