About the role

Processes orders for material or merchandise received by mail, telephone, or personally from customer or company employee.

Maintains efficient and safe operation of various RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and cherry pickers.

Selects and assembles the correct product and quantity, including handling partial cases as needed.

Assembles products on pallets and loads them onto trucks, ensuring minimal damage to boxes and product.

Contact Forklift Operators to replenish product in empty pick bins and locate supervisors for product substitutions when necessary.

Verifies product against picking lists to ensure accuracy and inspects received products for quality, proper rotation, and expiration dates.

Responsibilities

  • Operate RF scanners to track all product movement.
  • Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and cherry pickers efficiently and safely.
  • Select and assemble the correct product and quantity, including handling partial cases as needed.
  • Assemble products on pallets and load them onto trucks, ensuring minimal damage to boxes and product.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read and understand order forms and picking lists.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
