Order Management Supervisor

Tasks and Duties

  • Review and support with day-to-day operations
  • Support product with checking local charges and agreement quotes to ensure potential branch losses are minimized
  • Plan and support with huddles and monthly meetings to discuss market intelligence and delegate workloads within the team
  • Take an active role in the transition of new business/updates to existing business
  • Grow department revenue in line with District budget target and management expectations
  • Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements into your department
  • Be involved and suggest system/process improvements
  • Aid the Manager with EPE’s on the department in line with the 3+1 Initiative
  • Aid the Manager with key staff with goal setting and monitoring development
  • Support the Manager as required and applicable in the following areas:
    • Maintain accounts payment within 30 days
    • Ensure company credit procedures are followed and utilized effectively
    • Manage accounts payable to vendors, utilizing BNP
    • Manage intercompany accounting discrepancies via AJAX report
    • Support billing of customer invoices
  • Proactively communicate with the team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations
  • Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and in being the role model of integrity and pride for all employees

  • Financial Excellence: Applies exp.o accounting expertise to assist department leadership with meeting financial growth and cost savings goals, which may include: reviewing accounts receivable, analyzing billing activity for accuracy and timeliness and monitoring department profitability and expenses.
  • Financial Excellence: Take primary role in billing BNA Order Management customers.
  • Operational Excellence
  • Operational Excellence: In conjunction with department leadership, monitors and improves product District Excellence and Global Business Operations metrics.
  • Operational Excellence: Monitors department process flow while constantly looking for areas to improve efficiency and customer service.
  • Operational Excellence: Assists with managing capacity and productivity of department and team members
  • Business Development
  • Business Development: Assists department leadership with growing the product's business through involvement in sales and retention programs.
  • Business Development: Responds to requests for proposal, quotation or information timely and with market-competitive pricing matching the scope of service required by the customer.
  • Business Development: Participates in the transition of new business and strives to build and maintain relationships with the key customer stakeholders that are managed on the team

Qualifications

  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Expeditors company policies and procedures knowledge
  • Meet company standards of 52 hours training per year, including as needed management/leadership training
  • A good understanding of Expeditors’ products, services and systems
  • Strong market and competition knowledge
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word etc.)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven negotiation skills
