Responsibilities

• Perform general warehouse activities including pulling merchandise from a pick list, moving merchandise from sales floor to staging area, using handheld scanner to verify merchandise counts and update merchandise locations, and operating equipment.
• Work within all digital initiatives including: BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay and Ship from Club.
• Carry out job functions and responsibilities as assigned, supporting club policies, procedures, and compliance.
• Act with honesty and integrity, addressing member concerns and escalating as appropriate.
• Ensure a safe and positive environment for members and team members.

• Deliver service excellence through all points of contact, resolving and deescalating member concerns.

• Process member purchases by pulling merchandise from a pick list using a handheld scanner (RF) device.
• Move merchandise from sales floor to staging area and verify merchandise counts.
• Communicate inventory or equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and replenishment needs.
• Ensure orders are picked in a timely manner to meet productivity requirements and deadlines.
• Follow operational efficiencies, processes, and productivity standards for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Securely package orders in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties, including removing trash and cardboard from the work area.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine appropriate handling (via DDR or Membership desk).
• Maintain all club policies and procedures, including dress code standards.
• Meet OMNI productivity expectations regarding service level agreements (SLAs), performance metrics, and goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Previous order pulling experience preferred.
• Big box/wholesale retail experience preferred.
• Previous RF scanner experience preferred.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.

Job Conditions

• Most of the time is spent moving about continuously on hard surfaces.
• Frequent positioning to examine and/or scan merchandise, including bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping.
• Continuously requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds; may require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance.
• Usually in a comfortable environment surrounded by moving machinery and/or loud equipment.
• May be exposed to temperature extremes when pulling refrigerated orders.
• Occasional exposure to Company-approved cleaning agents.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $20.70 per hour. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary, including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule

Hours will range between 6:00 AM - 12:30 PM, about 3 to 4 days per week, including weekends, up to 20 hours.
