What You Will Be Doing
- Pulling stock items of small coils and lengths of wire, flat and coiled sheet, casting grain, and tubing from our inventoried product line to fill orders.
- Maintain the organization of orders efficiently from both inventoried stock and made to order product.
- Preparing documents such as work orders, invoices, bills of lading, or shipping orders to route materials to the correct internal and external customers.
- Examining all incoming materials, either made in-house or from vendors, to verify accuracy by comparing to orders, invoices, and manifests.
- Working with our manufacturing team by sending out and receiving incoming jobs from the production departments including maintaining a departmental tracking log.
- Tracking logs include shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for accounting and recordkeeping purposes.
- Participating in monthly inventory
Required
- HS Diploma/GED
- 1 year of documented manufacturing experience preferred
- Reliable and punctual; shows up for all scheduled work shifts
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities - essential to the position
- A solid understanding of weights and measures. IE: Ounce, grams, inches and millimeters along with ability to perform simple math equations.
Essential Physical/Environmental Requirements
- May be required to perform specific tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting or kneeling.
- Must be able to lift with or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis (up to 15 lbs.).
- Finger dexterity and both gross and fine manipulation.
- Comprehension of training forms such as Standard Operating Procedures.
- Comprehension of orders and ability to answer questions regarding orders.
