Order Entry
Position Summary
Based in Santa Fe Springs, CA this position is responsible for essential job functions related to order entry with limited supervision.
Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
- Reviews industry and customer specifications to create accurate shop travelers using industry standards, customer paperwork and planning department review.
- Interacts with customers as needed to clarify or communicate purchase order discrepancies.
- Affords assistance with other functions as required including answering phone, etc.
- Bridges any unusual problem or irregularity to the attention of supervisor.
- Promotes and practices safety and good housekeeping.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer's inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
- Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.
Qualifications
- This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder. (Keep if ITAR Plant or Remove in non-ITAR).
- Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of equivalent/relevant work experience in aerospace and specifications.
- Requires basic knowledge of metallurgy, heat treating, and related subjects.
- Requires knowledge of and/or ability to quickly learn industry, customer and metallurgical standards.
- Requires knowledge of computer applications and good understanding of basic math.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language.
- Knowledge and hands on experience of computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases is required.
- Must demonstrate the ability to communication professionally with external and internal teams via phone and email.
- ERP experience strongly preferred.
Physical & Mental Demands
- Must be able to work in a sitting position for extended periods of time (at desk, while driving, and/or on airplane travel) in an office/industrial environment.
- Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
- Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions.
- Ability to lift 25-30 lbs.
- May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
- Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
- Ability to hear in person and via phone.
Pay & Benefits Information
The hourly pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00 per hour. Starting pay is determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with state and federal law. This role is eligible for additional compensation, including shift differential, etc., if applicable. Benefits eligibility begins on day 61 of employment. This position is eligible for a $1,500 sign-on retention bonus!
