About The Position
This is a .6 FTE non-continuing leave replacement position for a High School Concert Orchestra; Symphonic Orchestra; Chamber Orchestra. The position runs from 9/1/26-1/4/27 ONLY. Preference will be given to candidates holding an ELL, ESOL, or Bilingual endorsement. SIOP training and GLAD training offered by the Multilingual Education Department will be required for all new employees unless they can demonstrate previous completion of these trainings. Training must be completed within the first year of employment.
Required Qualifications
- A Washington State Teaching Certificate with endorsements in Instrumental Music, or the ability to obtain the necessary qualifications prior to the position start date.

Pay
The 2025-26 Salary Schedule Range is $83,305 through $148,226. Placement on this schedule is determined by FTE and official documentation verifying Educational Level and Certificated Work Experience, with proration for less than a full year and/or FTE.

Physical Requirements/Demands
- Navigating various school and classroom environments
- Assisting students who need physical support or exhibit challenging behaviors
- Communicating with others regularly
- Frequent manual work using hands or fingers
- Occasional reaching, bending, or twisting
- Moving objects regularly weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
- Visual requirements include performing close-range tasks and adjusting focus as necessary
