About the Role
This itinerant position is based at the high school and focuses on orchestra instruction for grades 5–12. Choral experience is preferred.
The candidate should have experience with The Common Core Learning Standards and knowledge of Standards-Based Classroom instruction. A commitment to collegiality and collaboration within a Professional Learning Community, unquestionable integrity, and a firm belief in the worth and potential of all students are essential.
Requirements
- NYS Certification in Music K-12 (Certification Type: Music {6150})
- Experience with orchestra instruction (grades 5–12)
- Preferred: Choral experience
- Experience with The Common Core Learning Standards
- Knowledge of Standards-Based Classroom instruction
