About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about horticulture and orchard performance.
Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day orchard operations across the production cycle
- Implementing orchard management plans to achieve quality and yield targets
- Coinciding pruning, pollination, canopy management, thinning, and harvest activities
- Maintaining strong client relationships
- Delivering excellent results across fruit quality, yield, productivity, and profitability
Requirements
- Previous orchard management or horticultural leadership experience
- Previous orchard development experience such as planting, vine training, irrigation etc.
- Strong understanding of orchard production systems
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Proven ability to lead teams and contractors
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to achieving high standards in orchard performance and health & safety
