Orchard Manager

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about horticulture and orchard performance.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day orchard operations across the production cycle
• Implementing orchard management plans to achieve quality and yield targets
• Coinciding pruning, pollination, canopy management, thinning, and harvest activities
• Maintaining strong client relationships
• Delivering excellent results across fruit quality, yield, productivity, and profitability

Requirements

• Previous orchard management or horticultural leadership experience
• Previous orchard development experience such as planting, vine training, irrigation etc.
• Strong understanding of orchard production systems
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Proven ability to lead teams and contractors
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Commitment to achieving high standards in orchard performance and health & safety
