Do you have a passion for social justice? Do you want to make a difference for working people in Orange County? The Labor Relations Representative will play a key role in representing and advocating for public employees in labor relations matters.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate collective bargaining agreements on behalf of union members
• Handle grievances and arbitrations
• Provide representation in disciplinary proceedings
• Advocate for fair labor practices and workplace rights
• Develop and implement organizing strategies
• Educate members on their rights and union benefits
• Build coalitions with community and labor allies
• Monitor legislative and policy developments affecting public employees

Requirements

• Experience in labor relations, union organizing, or a related field
• Strong negotiation, communication, and advocacy skills
• Knowledge of labor law and collective bargaining
• Commitment to social justice and workers' rights
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in labor studies, industrial relations, law, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with public sector labor relations preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
