Qualifications
- DDS or DMD from an accredited institution
- Completion of an accredited Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) residency program
- Board certification or eligibility in OMS
- A valid dental license with DEA registration in the relevant jurisdiction
Responsibilities
- Perform complex extractions, wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, bone grafting, and other oral surgical procedures with a high standard of care
- Diagnose and treat oral and maxillofacial conditions
- Provide sedation and anesthesia per state regulations
- Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care to ensure optimal outcomes and smooth recovery
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans in coordination with general dentists and specialists
- Collaborate with referring doctors and team members to enhance interdisciplinary care and the patient experience
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and state dental board regulations
- Stay current with advancements in oral surgery through continuing education and professional development
