Oral Medicine/Open Rank Clinical Professor
Position Overview
TCDM seeks a faculty member in Oral Medicine to provide innovative teaching, interprofessional patient care, and scholarly activity. The role emphasizes case-based instruction, clinical consultation for medically complex patients, and collaboration across health professions.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver integrative, case-based instruction to predoctoral dental students and other learners.
Collaborate with colleagues in oral pathology and other disciplines to ensure clinically relevant education.
Provide consultation services in the student clinic in collaboration with Oral Pathology faculty.
Develop and implement protocols aligned with ADA recommendations for medically complex patients.
Provide direct patient care across the full scope of oral medicine practice.
Collaborate across Oral Health Science and Oral Health Practice divisions.
Partner with other health profession programs to strengthen interprofessional education.
Engage in service, scholarly activity, and professional expertise to advance TCDM’s mission.
Participate in institutional initiatives and academic service.
Requirements
DMD or DDS from a CODA-accredited institution or equivalent.
Graduate of a CODA-accredited Oral Medicine residency program.
Licence to practice dentistry in Kentucky or faculty limited licensure.
Board certification or board-eligible in Oral Medicine preferred.
Previous experience supervising predoctoral dental students preferred.
