The Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC seeks applicants for a full-time, clinical track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics under the Division of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences.
Responsibilities
- Full-time teaching at the postdoctoral level at the USC Pediatric Dentistry Clinic and the pediatric dentistry clinic at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
- Oversight of residents.
- Independently providing comprehensive dental treatment under general anesthesia in both an outpatient and hospital setting.
Requirements
- A history of clinical practice care.
- Academic teaching and scholarly activity.
- A DDS or DMD degree and a certificate in pediatric dentistry from an ADA approved program.
- To be Board Certified or a Board Candidate in Pediatric Dentistry.
- Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
- A California Dental License.
Qualifications
- Experience in clinical practice care.
- Academic teaching and scholarly activity.
- Education/training in pediatric dentistry.
- Board Certification or Board Candidate in Pediatric Dentistry.
- Certification in PALS and BLS.
- A California Dental License.
Skills
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to teach and mentor.
- Experience with pediatric patients.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry.
Benefits
- Annual base salary range of $115,000 - $120,000.
- Additional practice income from the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Medical Group based on productivity and experience.
