About the role

The City of San José is hiring an Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services (PBCS) Technical Lead to support the preparation of the City’s Capital, Operating, and Revenue Budgets using Oracle PBCS. This role also supports three custom budget applications: Fees and Charges, Ordinance Tracking, and Budget to Finance ERP Interface. The Budget Office (BO) is responsible for developing and managing the City’s operating and capital budgets and service fees and charges.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Oracle PBCS
• Support the three custom budget applications: Fees and Charges, Ordinance Tracking, and Budget to Finance ERP Interface
• Lead the Budget Office in developing and managing the City’s operating and capital budgets and service fees and charges
• Adapt to an ever-changing environment

Requirements

• Strong technical and functional background supporting Oracle PBCS and/or Oracle Hyperion Planning
• Expertise in multi-dimensional databases with strong analytical skills
• Development experience using .NET Framework, Java, or JavaScript to manage and support custom-developed applications
• Knowledge of the entire system implementation lifecycle including gathering business requirements, creating functional and technical designs, application development, and administration
