Work Arrangement: 3 days in office with 2 days WFH
Duration: 12–18 months contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday
About the Role
The Oracle Developer is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting Oracle database applications, PL/SQL programs, and reporting solutions. In addition to strong technical expertise, this role requires exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with business users, project managers, architects, QA teams, and production support teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle database objects, including:
- PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers
- Tables, views, indexes, and materialized views
- Performance tuning and query optimization
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform root-cause analysis and resolve production issues.
- Create technical design documents, data flow diagrams, and deployment plans.
- Support application releases, code promotions, and change management activities.
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and data governance standards.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions and design reviews.
- Clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Provide status updates, risks, and dependencies to management.
- Collaborate with QA, developers, business analysts, and project managers to deliver solutions on schedule.
- Document solutions thoroughly and maintain high-quality technical documentation.
- Participate in client meetings and confidently present technical recommendations.
- Develop high-performance PL/SQL code optimized for Oracle Exadata environments.
- Leverage Oracle Exadata features such as Smart Scan, Hybrid Columnar Compression (HCC), Storage Indexes, and Parallel Query to improve database performance.

- Oracle Database (12c/19c or later)
- Advanced PL/SQL development
- SQL performance tuning
- Data modeling and database design
- Version control tools (Git, Bitbucket)
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications
Pay
Hourly Rate: $63–$65 per hour
