Role Overview

A surgical technologist assists surgeons during pediatric intraoperative procedures, adhering to AORN and OSA standards. They collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver patient-centered, cost-effective care, while providing excellent customer service to patients, families, nurses, and physicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile technique
• Prepare age-appropriate instrumentation and supplies
• Utilize physicians' preference cards
• Pass instrumentation
• Participate in quality improvement activities

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate's degree in Surgical Technology from an accredited program
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
• CPR certification preferred at hire or obtained within two weeks
• Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills
