OR Surgical Technologist
United Health Services (UHS) Chenango Memorial Hospital is actively seeking a skilled and dedicated OR Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic surgical team. In this vital role, you will play a crucial part in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care within our fast-paced operating room environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and ensure all surgical instruments are sterile and readily available.
- Provide essential assistance to surgeons and nurses throughout various procedures.
- Observe and practice sterile technique, maintaining asepsis.
- Anticipate and assist the surgeon as needed.
- Actively participate in patient care and safety.
- Utilize OR supplies conservatively and operate as a team member of the OR staff.
Requirements
- Meets the NYS Surgical Technologist Certification Law; OR
- Completed a Surgical Technologist program in the Armed Forces; OR
- Completed a nationally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist with a nationally accredited Surgical Technologist credential; OR
- Graduated an accredited school of Practical Nursing and has an active NY state LPN license.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- CPR Certification within 3 months of hire.
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Previous Operating Room experience.
- Previous Surgical Technologist experience.
Pay
Compensation Range: $25.12 - $35.87 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule
- 40-hour work week.
- 10-hour work days.
- On-call shifts to provide 24/7 coverage, including weekends and holidays.
