OR Surgical Technologist

United Health Services (UHS) Chenango Memorial Hospital is actively seeking a skilled and dedicated OR Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic surgical team. In this vital role, you will play a crucial part in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care within our fast-paced operating room environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and ensure all surgical instruments are sterile and readily available.
• Provide essential assistance to surgeons and nurses throughout various procedures.
• Observe and practice sterile technique, maintaining asepsis.
• Anticipate and assist the surgeon as needed.
• Actively participate in patient care and safety.
• Utilize OR supplies conservatively and operate as a team member of the OR staff.

Requirements

• Meets the NYS Surgical Technologist Certification Law; OR
• Completed a Surgical Technologist program in the Armed Forces; OR
• Completed a nationally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist with a nationally accredited Surgical Technologist credential; OR
• Graduated an accredited school of Practical Nursing and has an active NY state LPN license.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CPR Certification within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Previous Operating Room experience.
• Previous Surgical Technologist experience.

Pay

Compensation Range: $25.12 - $35.87 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

• 40-hour work week.
• 10-hour work days.
• On-call shifts to provide 24/7 coverage, including weekends and holidays.
