Responsibilities
- Comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs
- Identification of outcomes based on needs assessment
- Establishing the plan of care
- Supervision of the progress and modification of the plan of care as needed
- Maintaining education and competencies to remain proficient in patient care
- Incorporating evidence-based nursing practice
- Identifying outcomes that are age and culturally appropriate, realistic, and attainable
- Collaborating, delegating, and ensuring care is provided safely and efficiently
- Fulfilling all organizational requirements
- Demonstrating ability to coordinate, delegate, and direct unit operations
- Demonstrating ability to identify orientee's learning needs, plan appropriate learning experiences, and validate clinical competence
Requirements
- Associate's or Vocational degree in Nursing
- RN experience
- Completion or in process of completing an approved Periop 101 program
- Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing required if working in state of MN upon hire / WI Department of Safety & Professional Services required if working in the state of WI upon hire
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Physical Demands: Medium Work
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- CNOR Certification preferred
Skills
Nurses must possess strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. They should also be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in using medical equipment and technology is essential.

Pay
$44.64 to $74.33 per hour. Starting rate depends on experience, education, and union agreement (if applicable).
Schedule
8-hour day/evening shifts; 1.0 FTE; occasional weekends; about 1 holiday per year.
