About the role
The OR/PACU RN Part-Time (Float) position is available at Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area. This role involves floating between the San Ramon and Menlo Park, California offices on every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, including rotating weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
- Performs initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
- Provides comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
- Demonstrates proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
- Administers medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
- Provides patient education
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- 2 to 3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience (preferred)
- Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
- Able to communicate accurately and concisely

Pay
$65 to $68 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Schedule
Every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM; rotating weekends and holidays
