About the role
The Equipment Specialist prepares and maintains equipment used by the clinical staff in the operating room suite, ensuring all operating rooms have appropriate and safe equipment for surgical cases.
Responsibilities
- Ensures equipment is in operating order before use
- Affirms proper handling by staff
- Maintains and monitors equipment cleaning and maintenance
- Serves as a resource for the charge desk, OR scheduling team, and coordinates equipment inventory/ordering
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience
- Minimum 6 months of perioperative experience
