About the Role

Prepares operating rooms (e.g., restocking linens, placing trash in biohazard bags in appropriate containers, etc.) and provides basic patient services under direct supervision and according to established standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepares operating rooms for the first case of the day by ensuring the bed is made, restocking linens, and placing trash, linen, and biohazard bags in appropriate containers.
• Assists in the transportation of equipment/supplies to and from rooms, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Orders and restocks supplies as assigned.
• Ensures instruments, equipment, and hospital-owned items are maintained.
• Completes unit-specific required competency assessments and continuing education activities.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
• Previous experience in environmental services: Preferred
• Hazardous Materials Training (HAZMAT) certification: Preferred
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy: Required

Schedule

Full-time, evening shift, 8-hour shifts.

Pay

The estimated base pay for this position is $16.80 to $23.07 per hour. Additional individual compensation may be available through differentials, extra shift incentives, or bonuses. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
