Routine Duties
- Routine on-site eye examinations including problem-oriented history, visual acuity, eye health assessment, refraction, disposition, and eyeglass order generation.
- Completion of any documentation, records, and/or any other vision services, within the equipment parameters and scope of Optometrists, as provided by the State.
- Referral to an Ophthalmologist, other physician(s), or telemedicine services for care beyond the scope of on-site Optometry, as needed.
Qualifications
Current NYS license to practice optometry.

Pay
Salary commensurate with experience.
Schedule
24/7 medical care across two secure detention sites, two school-based health centers, and limited pharmacy services at seven non-secure sites (group homes).
