About the role
Under the general direction of the Receiver's Medical Executive, the Optometrist, Correctional Facility, conducts examinations of the eye using observation and instruments to determine visual acuity and perception, focus, and coordination to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities for the patient. Maintains order and supervises the conducts of the incarcerated and protects and maintains the safety of persons and property.

Qualifications
- Valid Optometrist license
- Ability to work in a correctional facility environment
- Ability to maintain order and supervise incarcerated individuals
Skills
- Ability to use observation and instruments to examine eyes
- Ability to determine visual acuity and perception, focus, and coordination
- Ability to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Pay
- Monthly salary range: $5,448.10 to $7,223.30
- This position is Part Time – 7/10 Time (.70), working 28 hours per week
