About the role

Located at 120 1st Ave E, Cambridge, MN 55008, Cambridge Eye Associates operates with the mission to “Save Eyes & Spark Joy!”. We are seeking a detail‑oriented, patient‑focused Optometric Technician I to support optometrists, perform pre‑screening tests, collect patient histories, explain vision benefits, train patients on contact lens use, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and help coordinate patient flow in a welcoming, team‑driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Support optometrists by performing pre‑screening tests and assisting with exams
• Collect patient medical histories and explain vision benefits clearly and confidently
• Train patients on contact lens use and care
• Verify insurance, schedule appointments, and keep communication flowing smoothly
• Help coordinate patient flow and contribute to a seamless, high‑quality experience
• Collaborate with the team to meet goals and deliver exceptional care

Requirements

• 1+ year of customer service experience (optometric or medical experience is a plus)

Pay

$16‑20 per hour

Schedule

Monday‑Friday hours; no weekends
