About the role
As an Optician, you’ll play a key role in delivering top-notch patient care, guiding them toward the perfect eyewear to fit their needs, lifestyle, and style preferences.
Responsibilities
- Review prescriptions and work closely with patients to choose the ideal eyewear for both medical needs and aesthetic preferences
- Provide honest and thoughtful guidance on frame choices, ensuring patients leave satisfied with their vision and style
- Achieve sales goals while delivering outstanding customer service and meeting individual patient needs
- Manage and maintain eyewear inventory to ensure a great selection of frames and lenses
- Perform adjustments and repairs on eyewear, offering personalized service that makes a lasting impression
- Collaborate with physicians to address prescription questions and provide clarity on eye-related concerns
Requirements
- 0-3 years of experience (Optical experience is a plus, but we’ll train the right candidate!)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Coachable attitude—ready to learn and grow in the optical field
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing patient needs and office demands
- Professional phone etiquette and a warm, approachable demeanor
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read prescriptions and understand optical terminology
- Must be able to perform basic math calculations
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, etc.)

Pay
$25-$30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
