As a Retail Sales Associate (also known as a Retail Optician), you will help improve lives by assisting people in selecting eyeglass frames, lenses, and lens coatings that best suit their needs. Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patients.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions.
- Compute and process payment transactions and refunds.
- Process insurance claims efficiently.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of products.
- Create and maintain patient files following company and HIPAA policies.
- Assess and interpret patient needs and wants.
- Take necessary measurements.
- Prepare work orders for the lab.
- Pull correct lenses according to work order specifications.
- Inspect the final product for accuracy.
- Adjust and repair damaged frames.
- Price, stock, and straighten merchandise.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience working in retail, customer service, or sales.
- Experience in the optical industry is preferred but not required; willingness to train.
