Conditions of Employment

• For unionized positions, priority will be given to qualified internal candidates who are part of the applicable bargaining unit in accordance with the collective agreement.
• As a condition of employment, all new employees must obtain and provide the results of a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check (VSC) before commencing work. The VSC must have been issued within six (6) months of the employee’s intended start date. In limited circumstances, employment may commence prior to receipt of the VSC results, subject to organizational approval and only where permitted under applicable legislation.
