OPS Research Support Asst
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers a diversity of courses designed to enable students to pursue careers in mathematics or statistics, as well as enhance competence in engineering, the physical sciences, the life sciences, and the social sciences. The Department provides programs leading to B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees and is committed to serving the community through the STEM Education Center, the Center for Industrial and Interdisciplinary Mathematics, free public lectures, and faculty involvement in community activities.
About the role
This position involves working on mathematical models for understanding and design of three-dimensional DNA-RNA nanostructures within a research group.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of experience.
- Higher education may substitute for the experience as follows:
- Two years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree;
- Six years of direct experience for a master’s degree;
- Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree;
- Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
- Must meet all employment eligibility requirements in the U.S.
