OPS Food for Thought Pantry Assistant

Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting food pantry operations and inventory system management: food sorting, stocking, and distributing while abiding by food safety best practices.
• Implementing food pantry check-in and check-out procedures while maintaining a welcoming environment.
• Acting as a team lead and coordinating action for food pantry volunteers as needed.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Potential preferred qualifications include:
• Ability to adhere to ethical business practices and promote ethical behavior.
• Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.
• Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.
• Reliability and detail orientation.
• Passion for addressing food insecurity.
