Your Specific Responsibilities

Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment. Assist with preventive, therapeutic, and surgical clinical procedures (e.g., dental prophylaxis, dental sealants, dental restorations, and dental extractions). Communicate effectively and maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Skilled in placing dental sealants, assisting the dentist, and working independently. Ability to prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.

Qualifications

Minimum: - High School Diploma or equivalent. - Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certificate. - Florida Dental Radiography Certificate. - Certification in Basic Life Support. - Willingness to accept the stated salary. Preferred: - Formal accredited dental assisting school graduate. - Six months’ dental assisting experience. - Understanding of dental operations and compliance requirements. - Experience with pediatric patients, sterilizing instruments, assisting dentist with dental procedures, exposing dental x-rays, and instructing patients in oral hygiene instruction.
