OPS DENTAL ASSISTANT - 64914083

This is a Dental Assistant position that will provide direct patient care services in the dental program for the DeSoto County Health Department under the direct supervision of the Dental Assistant Supervisor and the Dentist.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Prepare; sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment;
• Read, follow verbal and written instructions, and communicate effectively;
• Must have knowledge of Dental Software, DENTRIX AND DEXIS;
• Use of equipment and supplies related to the position;
• Communication (Oral & Written): Takes the initiative to communicate accurate, up-to-date plans and information to subordinates, peers, and management. Expresses thoughts clearly, both verbally and in writing. Listens and understands the views of others;
• Creative Thinking: Develops new insights into situations and applies innovative solutions to make organizational improvements; designs and implements new or cutting-edge programs/processes;
• Customer Service: Works with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing excellence in products and services.

Qualifications

• Certification of dental expanded duties for the State of Florida;
• Radiation safety certification;
• Florida Driver License.
