All Coastal Health District, County Health Department employees are deemed essential employees in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in events including staffing a shelter, a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC), and/or Point of Dispensing site (POD). Participation is expected and may occur during or outside regular work hours.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with program leadership, including the Opioid Program Health Analyst (PHA), to design evaluation methodologies and develop outcome measures for project activities.
  • Lead public health program evaluations and community needs assessments by monitoring, collecting, and analyzing data tied to established performance metrics.
  • Develop and produce analytical data products (e.g., reports, dashboards, charts, maps) to inform public health planning, integration, and monitoring efforts.
  • Conduct research, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and review public health literature to generate evidence-based recommendations.
  • Gather statistical and narrative data through surveys, focus groups, key informant interviews, and community health assessments.
  • Assess the effectiveness of community-based interventions, particularly those targeting health disparities.
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations for stakeholders, including leadership, partners, and external organizations.
  • Collaborate with clients, community partners, vendors, and internal teams to support program goals.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining community partnerships and identifying resources to support program initiatives.
  • Organize and participate in community outreach events and engagement activities.
  • Support the planning, development, modification, and implementation of policies and strategic plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of experience performing work related to area of assignment; or
  • Seven (7) years of experience performing work related to area of assignment; or
  • One (1) year of experience at the lower level Healthcare Program Consultant 1 (HCP090) or equivalent position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Public Health or Bachelor's degree in Public Health and two years of experience performing epidemiologic work in disease, disease surveillance, and investigation.
